here are my five favorite products to recreate that french girl look.
- i like to start with just a little bit of under eye concealer to get me looking fresh and awake. i think the key to a more natural looking makeup look is to avoid having too heavy of a base on and embracing the natural look of your skin. my go to is the Glossier Stretch Concealer
- next i like this two in one product that i use both for cheeks and lips. the Rouje Lip Palette i am using is by Jeanne Damas’ brand Rouje and is one of my most used products. it’s quite versatile as you can really mix the colors and layer them on top of one another, plus it works for cheeks and lips. i have the Rouje palette in the ‘signature’ shade. my other go tos are the Glossier Cloud Paint in Storm for blush and the Glossier Generation G lipstick in Zip (can you tell i am a bit of a Glossier fan)
- i like to finish off my face with a little bit of mascara. pictured here is the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara which looks like they have discontinued, but i also love the L’Oréal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara or the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara
- i am also including this great nail polish base that was recommended by the wonderful Harriet Westmoreland, a UK-based nail artist. i think a great basic principle to looking chic is to always having well groomed nails. the Dior Crème Abricot Base Coat is great as it’s subtle but polished at the same time and the upkeep is quite easy
- finally, a few spritzes of perfume and you are ready to go! i am currently really loving the Gucci Memoire D’une Odeur and the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia
Let me know what are some of your go to makeup products and if you’ve given any of these a try!
